Community Guidelines
Standards for a distinguished community
The Parlor Network is an invite-only community. That privilege comes with a responsibility to maintain the atmosphere that makes this place worth being a part of. These guidelines apply to all members, all groups, and all content shared on the platform.
1. Respect the Community
Treat every member with respect, regardless of their background, experience level, or opinions. Disagreement is welcome — hostility is not. Critique ideas, not people. If a conversation is getting heated, step away. There's no place here for personal attacks, harassment, or intimidation of any kind.
2. Keep It Genuine
Share honest reviews, authentic experiences, and original content. Don't post promotional material, spam, or content created solely to drive traffic elsewhere. If you have a relationship with a brand you're reviewing, disclose it. Your credibility is your reputation here.
3. Quality Over Quantity
Take the time to write thoughtful posts and reviews. A short, well-considered review is more valuable than a wall of text. Before posting, ask yourself: would I want to read this? Does this add something to the conversation?
4. Respect Privacy
What's shared in The Parlor Network stays in The Parlor Network. Don't share other members' content, personal information, or conversations outside the platform without their explicit consent. Don't share your invite link publicly — invitations are meant to be personal.
5. Appropriate Content
While we celebrate cigars, whisky, and the lifestyle around them, all content must remain tasteful and appropriate. No explicit, illegal, or offensive material. Remember that this is a community for adults who value sophistication and class.
6. Your Group, Your Responsibility
Group admins are responsible for the culture of their group. They manage invitations and membership. If you're a group admin, take that role seriously — the people you invite reflect on you and on the community as a whole.
7. Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform. The Parlor Network administration reserves the right to take action at its discretion to maintain the quality and safety of the community.
If you see content that violates these guidelines, please use the contact page to report it. We take every report seriously.
